  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add chopped yellow onion to the skillet and sauté for 5 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in diced sweet potatoes, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, vegetable broth, chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  5. Cover the skillet and bake for 30 minutes, or until sweet potatoes are tender and chili is bubbly.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes. Serve warm, optionally topped with shredded cheddar cheese and whole grain corn chips.
  7. Divide remaining chili into airtight containers and refrigerate for future meals.
