Ingredients
- 2 slice whole wheat bread
- 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
- 2 ounce sliced deli turkey
- 1 slice cheddar cheese
- 1 cup tomato soup
Instructions
- Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of whole wheat bread.
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in a medium skillet over medium heat. Top with sliced deli turkey and cheddar cheese slice, then cover with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
- Cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. While the sandwich cooks, heat the canned tomato soup in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot.
- Slice the turkey-cheddar melt in half and serve immediately with the hot tomato soup.
Notes
You can add a thin slice of tomato or a sprinkle of dried herbs to the sandwich for extra flavor if desired.
