Ingredients
- 1 can tuna (water packed)
- 2 celeries (medium stalks, chopped)
- 0.5 cup American cheese (shredded)
- 0.25 cup mayonnaise (light)
- 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 slice whole wheat bread
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, celery, American cheese, light mayonnaise, instant minced onion, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Divide the tuna mixture into six equal portions. Place one portion on six slices of whole wheat bread.
- Then place a single slice of whole wheat bread on top of each portion to form 6 sandwiches. Wrap each sandwich individually in aluminum foil.
- Place the wrapped sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the sandwiches are heated through.
- Remove from oven.
- Pierce foil to release steam before serving.
