Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound ground pork
- 0.5 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 4 hamburger buns (split and toasted)
- 2 cup coleslaw mix
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork and cook, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, garlic powder, and salt. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened slightly and flavors have melded.
- While the pork simmers, toast the hamburger buns.
- Divide the tangy pork mixture among the toasted buns. Top with store-bought coleslaw mix and serve immediately.
Notes
Using pre-made coleslaw saves a lot of time. If you prefer, you can use any variety of mustard.
