  1. Heat the avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the lean ground beef and grated fresh ginger, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon as it browns, cooking for 5 to 6 minutes until no pink remains and the meat registers 160°F on an instant-read thermometer.
  2. Stir in the ground cumin, ground coriander, ground turmeric, salt, and black pepper, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the water and add the frozen green peas. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes until the peas are tender and heated through.
  4. Heat the packages of ready-to-heat basmati rice in the microwave according to package directions, about 90 seconds each. Serve the spiced beef and peas alongside the warm basmati rice.

Notes
