  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and yellow onion, breaking up the beef with a spoon. Cook until beef is browned and onion is softened, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in black beans, frozen corn, taco seasoning mix, water, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until flavors meld and liquid is mostly absorbed.
  3. While the skillet mixture simmers, warm the flour tortillas according to package directions.
  4. Serve the Southwest skillet ground beef hot with warm flour tortillas for wrapping.
