  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced smoked kielbasa and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until browned and slightly crispy. Remove kielbasa from skillet and set aside.
  2. Add sliced yellow onion to the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened.
  3. Add shredded green cabbage and sliced apple to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes until cabbage starts to wilt and become tender.
  4. Stir in apple cider vinegar, water, and dried caraway seeds. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for another 3 to 5 minutes until cabbage is tender.
  5. Return cooked kielbasa to the skillet. Season with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, mixing well.
  6. Serve hot.
