Seared Sesame Shrimp with Edamame and Broccoli

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the tamari, rice vinegar, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and 2 tablespoons of water, cover, and steam for 3 minutes until crisp-tender.
  3. Uncover the skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and thawed edamame. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the peeled shrimp and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, tossing frequently, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque throughout (internal temperature reaches 145 degrees).
  5. Pour the tamari sauce mixture into the skillet and toss everything together for 1 minute until evenly coated and bubbling. Remove from heat and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Ensure edamame is thoroughly thawed and patted dry before adding to maintain high heat in the skillet.
