  1. Prepare the instant mashed potatoes according to package directions, using milk and butter for a creamy consistency. Keep warm.
  2. While potatoes are preparing, steam the broccoli florets in a steamer basket over simmering water for 5-7 minutes, until tender-crisp.
  3. Pat salmon fillets dry. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Season both sides of the salmon generously with the spice mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for 4-6 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until cooked through and flaky.
  5. Serve salmon immediately with the steamed broccoli and instant mashed potatoes.

Notes

Ensure salmon is patted dry before cooking for the best sear. For an extra pop of flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice over the cooked salmon and broccoli.
