Ingredients
- 2 boneless pork chops (boneless)
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 apple (large, cored and sliced)
- 0.5 pound fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 0.25 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (chopped)
Instructions
- Season boneless pork chops evenly with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chops from skillet and set aside.
- Add sliced apple and fresh green beans to the same skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender-crisp.
- Pour in chicken broth and stir in fresh thyme. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Return pork chops to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Serve immediately with the apple and green bean mixture.
Notes
If preferred, you can steam the green beans separately until tender-crisp, then add them to the skillet at the very end to toss with the sauce.
