Ingredients
- 1 cup chunky tomato sauce
- 1 cup chicken breast (grilled, boneless, skinless, diced)
- 1 cup broccoli (rinsed, chopped, cooked)
- 2 tablespoon parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil (rinsed, dried, chopped)
- 4 whole-wheat pitas (6 1/2-inch)
Instructions
- Preheat oven or toaster oven to 450 °F.
- For each pizza, spread 1/4 cup chunky tomato sauce on a whole-wheat pita and top with 1/4 cup chicken breast, 1/4 cup broccoli, 1/2 tablespoon parmesan cheese, and 1/4 tablespoon fresh basil.
- Place pitas on a nonstick baking sheet and bake for about 5–8 minutes until golden brown and chicken is heated through.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
Tip: Keep ingredients on hand for older children to make pita pizzas for themselves. Younger children can help top their own personal pizzas.
