Ingredients
- 2 can tuna (in water, drained)
- 0.25 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoon celery (finely chopped)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slice hearty bread
- 4 slice cheddar cheese
- 5 ounce mixed greens
- 2 tablespoon vinaigrette dressing
Instructions
- Preheat your broiler. In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Place the bread slices on a baking sheet. Spoon the tuna mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
- Top each with a slice of cheddar or Swiss cheese.
- Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is lightly toasted.
- While the melts are broiling, toss the mixed greens or baby spinach with the vinaigrette dressing.
- Serve the open-faced tuna melts immediately with the side salad.
Notes
You can add a pinch of paprika or a dash of hot sauce to the tuna mixture for an extra kick of flavor.
