Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey, chopped yellow onion, and chopped celery. Cook, breaking up the turkey, until browned and the vegetables are softened, about 7-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the dried sage, garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the instant stuffing mix and dried cranberries, stirring to combine. Remove from heat, cover the skillet, and let stand for 5-7 minutes, or according to stuffing package directions, until the stuffing is tender.
  4. Fluff the stuffing with a fork. You can serve directly from the skillet or, for a slightly crisper top, bake in the preheated oven uncovered for 5-7 minutes until lightly golden.

Notes

Adding a handful of chopped walnuts or pecans to the stuffing mix would provide extra texture and richness.
