Ingredients
- 2 package Impossible Steak Bites
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (grated)
- 0.25 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1.5 cup white rice (uncooked)
- 1 pound fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
- Cook the 1 1/2 cups of white rice according to package directions, typically by combining with 3 cups of water in a pot and simmering for about 15-20 minutes until water is absorbed. Set aside.
- While the rice cooks, steam the 1 pound of green beans until tender-crisp, about 5-7 minutes. You can use a steamer basket over boiling water or microwave them with a splash of water.
- Heat the 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the Impossible Steak Bites and sear for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely browned.
- Add the 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the 1/4 cup of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Toss to coat the steak bites and cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce slightly reduces.
- Serve the Japanese Ginger-Soy Steak Bites immediately over the cooked white rice, alongside the steamed green beans. Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
Notes
For quicker prep, pre-cooked microwaveable rice can be used. Store leftovers in separate containers to maintain optimal texture.
