Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey (lean)
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 yellow onion (medium, thinly sliced)
- 12 ounce broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper (ground)
- 2 tablespoon water
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together low sodium soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, onion powder, and water. Set aside.
- Heat avocado oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it apart, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Add thinly sliced yellow onion and broccoli florets to the skillet. Stir-fry for 5-7 minutes, until broccoli is tender-crisp and onions are softened.
- Pour the prepared sauce over the turkey and vegetables. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the ingredients. Season with black pepper.
- Serve immediately as a light and complete meal.
Notes
For even faster prep, you can use pre-chopped onions or simply omit them. Ensure the broccoli florets are small for quick cooking.
