Herbed Pork and Peas Pasta

  1. Heat avocado oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add ground pork and chopped yellow onion, cooking until the pork is browned and the onion is softened, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the penne pasta, milk, chicken broth, dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and most of the liquid has been absorbed.
  4. Stir in the frozen green peas and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until peas are heated through and pasta is cooked to your liking.
  5. Serve hot.

Notes

If the pasta absorbs all the liquid before it's cooked, add a splash more milk or broth until tender.
