Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon olive oil. Once hot, add the ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and 1/2 cup water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened.
  3. While the beef simmers, warm the flour tortillas according to package directions (microwave, oven, or pan-fry quickly).
  4. Prepare your taco toppings: shred the lettuce, dice the Roma tomato, and have the shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and salsa ready.
  5. Serve the seasoned beef in the warm tortillas with your choice of toppings and a side of corn tortilla chips.

Notes

Set out all the toppings in separate bowls for a fun, build-your-own taco night. This makes for super fast serving!
