Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the pot. Add the yellow onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Stir in 4 cloves minced garlic, dried thyme, and dried parsley. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a rolling boil, about 7 minutes.
  5. Add the wide egg noodles to the boiling broth and cook for 5 minutes, or until al dente.
  6. While the noodles cook, prepare the garlic ciabatta. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Slice the ciabatta baguette lengthwise. In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter and 1 clove minced garlic.
  7. Spread the garlic butter evenly over both halves of the ciabatta. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden and lightly crispy.
  8. Reduce heat to low for the soup. Stir in the heavy cream, kosher salt, and black pepper. Simmer gently for 1 minute, allowing the flavors to meld. Do not boil once cream is added.
  9. Ladle the hot Golden Homestyle Turkey Noodle Soup into bowls and serve immediately with slices of warm garlic ciabatta.

Notes

Leftovers of this hearty soup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop or in the microwave. You may need to add a splash of extra broth or water when reheating, as the noodles tend to absorb liquid.
