Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.75 cup marinara sauce
- 1.5 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 0.5 green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 0.5 red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 0.5 yellow onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 Roma tomatoes (sliced)
- 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
- 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano
- 0.25 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat. If using a baking sheet, lightly grease it or line with parchment paper.
- Carefully unroll the store-bought pizza dough onto your prepared baking sheet or a lightly floured surface if transferring to a stone later. Gently stretch it into a 12-inch circle or rectangle, to your desired thickness.
- Brush the pizza dough lightly with the olive oil. Sprinkle the garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of the dried oregano, kosher salt, and ground black pepper evenly over the dough.
- Evenly spread the marinara sauce over the seasoned pizza dough, leaving about a 1/2-inch border around the edges for the crust.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce. Arrange the sliced green bell pepper, red bell pepper, yellow onion, and Roma tomato evenly over the cheese.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 teaspoon of dried oregano over the toppings.
- Bake the pizza for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly golden. Cooking times may vary depending on your oven and desired crispness.
- Once baked, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for 2-3 minutes before slicing. This helps the cheese set. Slice and serve hot.
Notes
To achieve an extra crispy crust, preheat a pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet in your oven for at least 30 minutes before baking the pizza. Carefully slide the pizza onto the hot surface to cook. This pizza is also excellent with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat.
