  1. Bring a small pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole wheat spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain well.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. To the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to reduce slightly.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet. Add the drained spaghetti and chopped fresh parsley. Toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated with the sauce.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired, and enjoy with the prepared Caesar salad.
