Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the gluten-free tamari, beef broth, cornstarch, minced garlic, and minced ginger until smooth.
  2. Season the sliced top sirloin steak evenly with the black pepper.
  3. Heat 1/2 tablespoon of the sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sirloin strips in a single layer and sear for 2 to 3 minutes until browned on the outside; transfer the beef to a plate.
  4. Add the remaining 1/2 tablespoon of sesame oil to the skillet along with the broccoli florets and sliced red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce bubbles and thickens into a glossy glaze coating the beef and vegetables.
  6. In a separate microwave-safe bowl or skillet, steam the riced cauliflower for 3 minutes until tender. Divide the riced cauliflower among 4 plates, top with the beef and vegetable stir-fry, and garnish with sliced green onions if desired.

Notes

Slicing the steak against the grain while partially chilled makes thin, tender strips easy to cut.
