Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef sirloin with 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Toss to coat and set aside to marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Cook ramen noodles or spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the skillet. Add the minced garlic and grated fresh ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for 3-5 minutes, until tender-crisp. You can add a tablespoon or two of water to help steam the broccoli if needed.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Add the cooked noodles, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, the remaining 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  7. Serve the Savory Garlic Beef Noodles immediately.

Notes

To make slicing the beef easier, freeze it for 20-30 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain. Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control spice level.
