Ingredients
- 3 boneless pork chops (about 1-inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 0.75 teaspoon salt
- 0.5 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)
- 12 ounce fresh green beans (trimmed)
- 2 clove garlic (minced)
- 0.25 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 145 degrees F). Remove chops from skillet and set aside to rest.
- Add green beans to the same skillet. Add a splash of water (about 2 tablespoons) or chicken broth, cover, and steam for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Uncover, add minced garlic, and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Season with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Serve the classic pork chops with the garlicky green beans.
