  1. Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sear for 4-6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature 145 degrees F). Remove chops from skillet and set aside to rest.
  3. Add green beans to the same skillet. Add a splash of water (about 2 tablespoons) or chicken broth, cover, and steam for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Uncover, add minced garlic, and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Season with the remaining 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  4. Serve the classic pork chops with the garlicky green beans.
