Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the lemon juice, lime juice, 2 minced garlic cloves, dried oregano, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. Place the tilapia fillets in the marinade, ensuring they are coated. Let marinate for 5-10 minutes.
  3. On the prepared baking sheet, toss the trimmed asparagus with 1/2 tablespoon olive oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. Spread in a single layer.
  4. Remove tilapia from marinade, letting excess drip off, and place on the baking sheet alongside the asparagus. Drizzle the remaining 1/2 tablespoon olive oil over the fish and asparagus.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender-crisp.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

Any lean white fish can be used in place of tilapia, such as cod or snapper.
