  1. Combine celery, carrots, onions, frozen peas, and chicken broth in a pot.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add cooked chicken and reduce heat.
  4. Add uncooked rice.
  5. Simmer on low until rice is tender and flavors are mixed.
  6. Chicken should reach a final internal cook temperature of 165°F as measured with a food thermometer before serving.

Notes

For the grain, you can use 1/2 cup uncooked macaroni or small noodles instead of rice, if preferred.
