  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil for the pasta. Meanwhile, season the chicken pieces with 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
  2. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  3. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the same skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more, until fragrant.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Stir in the remaining 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss everything together, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water if needed to create a light sauce.
  6. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese just before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

This dish is easily customizable. Feel free to add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a subtle kick, or a squeeze of lemon juice at the end for extra brightness.
