Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon water
- 1 cup chicken broth (low-sodium)
- 1 cup chicken (cooked, diced)
- 0.5 teaspoon salt
- 1 dash black pepper
- 0.33 cup all purpose flour
- 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoon milk (non-fat)
Instructions
- Mix 2 tablespoons all purpose flour and 2 tablespoons water in a pan until smooth.
- Slowly stir in chicken broth.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Add chicken, salt (optional) and black pepper.
- Make Dumplings: Combine 1/3 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt in a small bowl.
- Stir in 2 tablespoons milk until dough forms.
- Drop dumpling dough from a tablespoon onto gently boiling chicken mixture, making 4 dumplings.
- Cover pan tightly and cook slowly for 15 minutes without lifting the lid.
