Ingredients
- 3 ounce ground beef (lean)
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 3 ounce tortilla chips
- 0.5 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 0.25 cup canned black beans (rinsed and drained)
- 1 tablespoon pickled jalapeños (sliced)
- 0.25 red onion (thinly sliced)
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare a microwave-safe plate.
- In a small skillet, cook the lean ground beef over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and 2 tablespoons of water. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the liquid has evaporated.
- On an oven-safe plate or baking sheet (or microwave-safe plate), spread the tortilla chips in an even layer.
- Sprinkle the seasoned ground beef, rinsed and drained canned black beans, and shredded cheddar cheese over the chips. Add pickled jalapeños and thinly sliced red onion if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 5-8 minutes, or microwave for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately with a drizzle of hot sauce, if you like.
