Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 lean)
- 0.5 cup yellow onion (chopped)
- 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 24 ounce marinara sauce
- 8 ounce spaghetti
- 5 ounce Caesar salad kit
- 3 slice garlic bread
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil for the spaghetti.
- In a large skillet, brown the 1 pound ground beef and 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion over medium-high heat. Break up the beef with a spoon. Drain any excess fat. Season with 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.
- Add the 24 ounce jar marinara sauce to the skillet with the beef and onion. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and let it gently simmer while you cook the pasta.
- Once the water is boiling, add the 8 ounces spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente (usually 8-10 minutes).
- While pasta cooks, prepare the 5 ounce bag Caesar salad kit according to package directions. Cook the 3 slices store-bought garlic bread according to package directions (typically oven or toaster oven).
- Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it directly to the skillet with the beef marinara sauce. Toss to coat well.
- Serve the Beef and Marinara Pasta immediately with the Caesar salad and garlic bread.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinara sauce.
