Ingredients
- 0.5 pound ground beef
- 0.5 yellow onion (diced)
- 0.5 cup BBQ sauce
- 0.25 cup water
- 2 hamburger buns
- 10 ounce coleslaw mix (pre-made with dressing)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 0.5 diced yellow onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
- Add 1/2 pound ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart, until browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in 1/2 cup BBQ sauce and 1/4 cup water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and coated the beef.
- While beef simmers, prepare the 1 package pre-made coleslaw mix according to package directions, if necessary (usually just mix in the included dressing).
- Lightly toast the 2 hamburger buns, if desired.
- Serve the BBQ beef mixture on the toasted hamburger buns with coleslaw on the side.
