Baked Chicken Nuggets

Make chicken nuggets at home using cereal crumbs, spices, and herbs. You can cook them in the microwave or the oven.

Instructions

  1. Remove skin and bone; cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Place cornflakes cereal in plastic bag and crush by using a rolling pin.
  3. Add paprika, Italian herb seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder to crushed cornflakes cereal.
  4. Close bag tightly and shake until blended.
  5. Add a few chicken thighs pieces at a time to crumb mixture.
  6. Shake to coat evenly.
  7. Conventional Method: Preheat oven to 400 °F. Lightly grease a cooking sheet.
  8. Place chicken thighs pieces on cooking sheet so they are not touching.
  9. Bake until golden brown, about 12 to 14 minutes.
  10. Microwave Method: Lightly grease an 8x12 inch baking dish.
  11. Place chicken thighs pieces on baking dish so they are not touching.
  12. Cover with waxed paper and cook on high.
  13. Rotate chicken thighs every 2 to 3 minutes.
  14. Cook until tender, about 6 to 8 minutes.
